Recording equipment and installations

A user interested in viewing recordings stored in the Panopto system does not need special equipment or installations, and can use a browser for viewing.

On the other hand, if you are interested in recording or broadcasting, you need equipment, installing software on your computer and receiving editing permissions in the system.

1. Contact us to obtain Creator permission to record a course using the following form: Panopto Permissions Form. 

2. Install Panopto Recorder according to the attached instructions.

3. You can record from a personal computer, laptop, and tablet. Please provide the personal equipment required for recording:

• Camera (built into the screen)
• Microphone (of the computer/tablet/mobile)

or

• A LOGITECH BRIO webcam connects to the computer via 3 USB ports, to work with the PANOPTO. No need to install dedicated software. Purchased from Banda Magnetic.
• MARANTZ desktop microphone, connects via USB to a computer, does not require dedicated software, purchased from the company "Singing Instruments".
