Setting video file permissions

The Panopto system allows several levels of viewing permissions for each file/folder as follows:

1. Restricted - The recording is available only to selected users. The default is permission only for the user who created the content. You can add a list of additional users to choose from. At any stage, you can remove all or some of the users.
2. Your Organization (Unlisted) - The recording is available only to those who have a direct link to the recording and have access to the Panopto system. The recording will not appear in the system search, but if the user has a direct link to it (for example, from your course moodle website) it will be possible to access and watch it.
3. Your Organization - The recording is available to anyone with access to the Panopto system. Please note that the system contains many different users: students, lecturers, practitioners, free listeners, learners from other institutions, and more. Please select this option only if you are willing to allow access to your content to everyone. The recordings will appear in a free search in the Panopto system.

To check the permissions set for a specific recording and change them if necessary, please follow these steps:

• Log in to the Panopto system https://panoptotech.cloud.panopto.eu/ using your Technion user.
• Log into your My Folder and locate the desired recording.

• In the File menu, click Share:
