Initial activation of your Technion Zoom account

  • If you haven't done so yet - go to technion.zoom.us and select Sign in.
  • Log in with your regular Technion user.
  • Your Technion Zoom account is now activated.

Creating a Zoom meeting and recording it to the cloud

  • Launch the Zoom app
  • Sign in with SSO and enter your Technion account details
  • Start a new meeting
  • When you are ready to record - click Record at the bottom of the screen:

  • Please note: There are two recording options - choose to record to the cloud. The file will automatically be uploaded to the Panopto system under your personal account. This may take a while if the recording is long.
  • At the end of the session, stop the recording and click End Meeting.

Setting sharing permissions and publishing the recording on the course moodle website

  • Log in to the Panopto system https://panoptotech.cloud.panopto.eu/ and log in using your Technion user.
  • Go to the "My Folder" folder (in the left menu) and inside it the "Meeting Recordings" folder (and if not there then "Zoom Recordings"):

  • Locate the relevant recording from those displayed within the folder. In its menu, click Share.

In the menu that opens, change the access options setting to "Anyone at your organization with the link", then copy the link.

  • Return to the course website in the moodle and add the link to the forum or submission box, according to the instructions you received.

Please note: Did you log in to Panopto and the files are not there? Log out and then login again using Technion Authentication.
