You can start recording the meeting at any point after it begins by clicking Record at the bottom of the screen (only the host records the meeting).

 

There are two recording options

1. Recording to your personal computer: If you are recording to your personal computer, please note – do not upload video files to the moodle as they are. The platform is not designed for video and will result in slow performance on the site. The files must be uploaded to YouTube / the cloud / the Panopto system, and then a link to the recording must be added to the moodle site.

2. Recording to the cloud: The recording is automatically saved in the Technion's Panopto system.

At the end of the session, stop the recording and click on End Session.

Please note! A personal folder in Panopto (My Folder) will only be created after you have recorded a Zoom meeting at least once!

Publishing the recording on the course moodle website

In order to locate the recorded video and then embed the link to it on the moodle website, you must perform the following steps:

Log in to the Panopto system https://panoptotech.cloud.panopto.eu/ and log in using your Technion user.

Go to the My Folder folder and inside it the Meeting Recordings folder (and if not there then Zoom Recordings):

Locate the relevant recording from those displayed within the folder. In its menu, click Share.

In the menu that opens, change the access options setting to Anyone at your organization with the link, then copy the link.


 Return to the course website in the model and add the link to the website according to the instructions for adding the link: instructions here

Please note: Did you log in to Panopto and the files are not there? Log out and then log in again using Technion Authentication.
