ZOOM - General information
דרישות השלמת קורס
The ZOOM system is an interactive system, offered to lecturers as a tool for online synchronous teaching. The system is easy and convenient to operate and works on all browsers and mobile devices.
The meetings between the lecturer and students, or between a group of students, are held in virtual rooms. The online meetings can be recorded and the recording can then be uploaded to the course website for those who were not present at the meeting.
- The ZOOM system allows for virtual meetings, including video, audio, screen sharing, whiteboard and chat.
- The ZOOM system can be accessed from the Technion Moodle system (without the need for additional identification) or from the website https://technion.zoom.us/ (identification with the username and password of the Technion email).
- Any Technion user can open ZOOM meetings, in which they will be considered the host and will have the ability to record the meeting and publish it later.
- Participants can be invited to ZOOM meetings by posting a link to participants on the course moodle website (automatic when the meeting is opened from the moodle website) or directly to an email (less recommended - for the convenience of organizing all the material in one place for faculty and students).
- Rooms can be:
- With a pre-determined meeting date and duration.
- Open for a year in a row (Recurring). In this mode, you can enter the room an unlimited number of times during the year and conduct multiple meetings as needed.
- A host can open an unlimited number of meetings, but only one room can be active at a given time. Multiple lecturers/practitioners can schedule meetings for the same date simultaneously within the same website.
