Please note: Before taking the test, it is recommended to hide the test (in edit mode: Edit -> Hide), so that students will not be exposed to the various stages of the test, and to unhide it at the end of the test (in edit mode: Edit -> Show).

You can view students' answer attempts in several ways, depending on the type of quiz you want to perform and the way the questions are placed in the quiz. For a quiz with randomly placed questions from a database, you can check more conveniently from the "Random Question Summary" option in the "Results" tab. Please see instructions and explanations on the subject at this link: https://moodle25.technion.ac.il/mod/page/view.php?id=16635.

1. To check the quizzes, go to the quiz page. On this page you can see the number of answer attempts submitted:

The number of attempts link is on the main page of the quiz and it is shown in a red rectangle

2. Clicking on "Attempts:" will take you to a page that summarizes all submissions from all students in the form of a table, which can be sorted and filtered:

A table with students' quiz results

3. You can see all of the answer attempts (if the student had multiple attempts - they will all be displayed here): student details, start time, end time, duration of the attempt, where there were errors, how many points they received, final grade, etc.

4. You can view a specific attempt by clicking the "Review Attempt" link below the student's name. In this view, you can see what questions the student received, what order they were in and what the distractors were in, what answers the student marked, and what the correct answers were. You can make a grade correction or add comments if necessary to each of the questions for that student:

"Make comment or override mark" button is shown in a red rectangle

5. If you have identified a problem with one of the questions, you can go from here to edit the question and correct it for all students:

"Edit question" button is located on the left and it is shown in a red rectangle

6. If the exam had questions that required manual review, return to the main page of the quiz and go to the "Results" tab. From the menu, select "Manual Grading":

"Manual grading" option in the drop-down menu in the "Results" tab is shown in a red rectangle

7. On the next page you can see a summary of all open questions, which have already been reviewed and which still require review:

8. Click on the link for the question you want to review and you will be taken to the review page for that question for all students. For each student, enter a grade and comments and save when finished. Make sure you have gone through all the pages:

9. At any stage, you can return to the summary page and update the grades already given:

10. If you are interested in exporting the test data to Excel, go back to the answer attempt summary page and export using the button:

In the "Download table data as" menu the option "Microsoft excel (.xlsx)" is chosen. "Download" button is on the right
