If you need to copy a limited portion of content (a teaching unit or several items) from one course site to another, you can back up the content from one course site and restore it to another course site.

To back up the site:

1. On the course site, in the top bar, click the "Course Management" button (two gears).

2. Select "Backup".

3. On the page that opens, click "Next"

4. On the next page, select only the items you want to back up and click "Next"

5. You will now see a box where you can define the file name. It is recommended to change the file name to a meaningful name (including the course, semester, and year number). You can also make sure that the items you selected appear.

6. Click the "Perform Backup" button

7. When the backup operation is complete, you will receive a notification that the operation has been completed. Click "Continue".

8. You will automatically be taken to a page with all your backups. Find the relevant backup and "download" it to your personal computer.

Restoring to another course site:

1. On the new course site to which you want to import content, in the top bar, click the "Course Management" button (two gears).

2. Select "Restore".

3. On the page that opens, attach the backup file and click "Restore"

4. On the page that opens, you will be able to see the contents contained in the backup file and click "Continue"

5. On the next page, you can select "Restore into an existing course" -> Merge the backup course into the existing course (note, choosing the second option will delete all course content and only then perform a restore) and click "Continue"

6. On the next two pages, select "Next"

7. On the next page click "Perform restore"
