1. Enter the course website and go to the "Participants" section located under the course title:

2. On the next page, click on the box that says "Enrolled Users"

And select the "Enrolment methods" option from the options in the drop-down menu:

3. On the next page, find the line "Self Enrolment (Student)" and click on the gear on the left side of the line:

4. You are now on the settings page of the self-registration option. The number of options under your control is large, please choose what you want to set:

Is it necessary to change the "Keep current self enrolments active"? Change to "Yes"

We recommend also referring to the following topics in the definitions:

  • "Default assigned role" to "Free listener" - will make it possible to easily separate the learners registered for the course from those who access it for viewing purposes only

  • Setting a registration period in days/weeks and/or set an end date will allow you to control the time when access is stopped or the duration of access
  • "Unenrol inactive after" - will allow registered and inactive users to be deleted from the site automatically
  • You can also limit the maximum number of users to join in this way
  • You can set up a "Welcome" message and include in it the explanations and limitations of joining the course website in this way

5. Save at the end of the process.
